The Box Shorts

In partnership with The Box Plymouth and supported by the BFI Film Audience Network (FAN) The Box Shorts celebrated screen heritage and our return to cinemas with seasonal packages of free archive film shorts available to cinemas across the South West.

Themed, short, culturally rich treasures, compelling in content where chosen to connect local audiences to their communities, landscapes and histories. From All Hallows and Harvest’s, to small-town 70’s Christmas celebrations and a specially curated partnership with Tate St Ives – these archive shorts inspired audiences to seek out archive film for themselves, and gave them a deeper, more located experience of film viewing at their local cinema.
