Compass Presents occupies the space between cinema curation, art, event production, and interactive theatre. Since 2006, we’ve been crafting mixed-artform events that merge the immersive power of cinema with the spine-tingling thrill of live performance. Our innovative approach reimagines cult treasures, blending film with live elements to create unforgettable experiences in unique locations.

Our Work

From a film-and-circus mashup on the sails of a tall-ship to a 90s rave in Shakespeare’s birthplace, our work is all about creating unique, memorable encounters. Whether it’s a playful telephone installation connecting festival-goers or a reimagined classic film with live circus and dance, we aim to cultivate intimacy with our audiences, always adding our trademark touch of fun.

Our Mission

As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), Compass Presents is dedicated to widening participation in the arts. Our mission is to provide opportunities for those underserved by the cultural sector, whether as audience members, participants in outreach activities, or part of our workforce. We believe in presenting art in new, accessible formats, often in unusual places, to ensure everyone can find a way in. 

Compass Presents is led by Tara, Charlie, and Donna, based in Bristol and connected to local communities. Our work reaches audiences regionally, nationally, and internationally, always striving to push the boundaries of how and where art can be experienced.
