Compass Presents has a long term partnership with youth employment charity Tomorrow’s People, working with young ‘NEET’ people on rolling 8-week programmes to develop creative skills.
Here, Compass facilitated an exploration of street homelessness and insecure tenancies experienced by the young people. Content from workshops fed into a co-written poem with youth-laureate Vanessa Kissule. Vanessa’s performance was filmed by the young people on a learning programme run by Rife Magazine and Watershed, and supported by Creative Youth Network.
