Tara is inspired by the immersive power of cinema and the spine-tingle of live performance. She co-founded Compass Presents in 2006, and runs the company day-to-day, leading the creative direction of projects and steering the company’s vision.
Tara is interested in producing work that speaks to and reflects the diversity of people she encounters in her life. With 19 years experience working in the field of community outreach and education in some of Bristol’s most deprived neighborhoods, Tara ensures that communities underserved by the arts are included in the Compass and its creative work, within the orginsation, as advisors, and as audiences.

With a background in film and a lifelong passion for cinema and storytelling, Charlie brings a creative and audience-focused approach to marketing at Compass Presents. As Director of Marketing & Communication, Charlie is dedicated to making our work accessible and resonant for a wide range of communities. Her work is driven by the belief that great stories deserve to be shared widely and inclusively—especially with audiences who are often overlooked. By combining strategic thinking with imaginative campaigns, Charlie helps ensure that Compass Presents reaches people where they are, in ways that feel authentic, exciting, and meaningful.
